Late Checkout
Private Concierge fora Meaningful Stay
The same destination — no right way, no wrong way, only a better arrangement with us.

I. Your Advisor
No right or wrong way,
only a better arrangement
Late Checkout is a private advisory for those who already live between the cities that matter — and who would rather not think about the logistics. We attend to the things that decide whether a trip is memorable or merely fine: the room, the table, the season, the man at the front desk who knows you're coming. The rest, you needn't think about.
I keep places in London, Hong Kong, and Tokyo, and travel rather a lot from each. The calendar is firm about where to be when — Chinese New Year in Hong Kong, the Highlands at the back end of summer, Kyoto for the leaves, the Gulf when London isn't worth being in. Every recommendation here is personal.
6 months of any given year, I'm living out of hotels somewhere across 40+ countries — testing what the market actually delivers against what it promises. Every property I recommend, I've stayed in, most across more than one season. When I tell you to ask for room 506, I mean room 506.

III. Benefits
What every client receives
An upgrade where one is to be had — quietly arranged, never demanded.
Property credit on every stay, and materially more on a suite. Spent on dinner, the spa, or rather more wine than is strictly sensible.
Breakfast for two, every morning. Eggs done how you like them.
Early in, late out — arranged before you arrive. As one would hope, frankly.
Third- and fifth-night arrangements where they exist. Not advertised — we ask.
A note from the General Manager waiting at the desk. Nothing showier than that.
The Late Checkout Advantage
Direct access
Real relationships
General Managers we have met in person, and direct lines well past the front desk — the restaurants, the bars, the people who make a city open up.
We spend half the year in these hotels ourselves. What we recommend, we have lived — nothing second-hand, nothing on trust alone.
Preferred-partner standing with the world's finest houses — Four Seasons, Aman, Belmond, and beyond. It is what turns a reservation into recognition, upgrades, and credits.

IV. Journal
Notes from the industry
Where we've been, what room we've stayed in, which room number to ask for. The rest is just gossip.
“Late Checkout arranged our stay in Kyoto during peak cherry blossom season — tatami suite at the Ritz-Carlton, the general manager welcomed us personally. Something that simply wouldn't have happened had we booked directly.”
