Hotel Review: Courtyard by Marriott Seoul Namdaemun

For my month stay in Seoul, South Korea Having tried other Marriott properties in the city including Moxy Insadong, Fairfield by Marriott Seoul, and Aloft Gangnam, it was time to try more central location.

Having pleasant experiences with other Courtyard property in Taipei, I chose Courtyard by Marriott Seoul Namdaemun this time.

Centrally located just 5 minutes walk away from Myeong-dong and City Hall.

Checkin :

Check-in was productive. The thing I love about most Courtyard in Asia is I don't have to have a high expectation/disappointment and they just provide me the necessary treatment such as status recognition. This property was not an exception. They upgraded us to the junior suite for our 2 weeks booking and

Room :

The room was vey spacious

There is a view of Namsan mountain coupled with N Seoul Tower on the left, and the magnificent Nandaemun gate on the right. You can observe the moon at night.

Conclusion :

It provided absolutely everything to enjoy Seoul. Aside from the executive lounge closure in earlier 2024, there is really nothing to complain about. If I was to point out the only con, it would be inconvenient if you frequently go to Gangnam. its central location, status recognition, generous suite upgrade, the quality room.

This property remains one of my favourite and reliable home to come back to whenever I am in Seoul.
