Hotel Review: Mandarin Oriental Jakarta

After the fiasco at Sari Pacific Jakarta, we canceled the rest of 7 days and relocated to Mandarin Oriental Jakarta.

There was a generous 3rd night free campaign on Amex FHR program and there was little to no price difference from Sari Pacific.

Checkin :

Sari Pacific arranged a complimentary hotel transfer as a good gesture and we arrived at Mandarin Oriental Jakarta at 12

Room :

Upgrade was a surprising bliss after the fiasco at Sari pacific. We were upgraded to Urban Suite from the lowest category room as an Amex FHR benefit, which happens to be the best upgrade I have ever received on Amex FHR program.

Our Amex FHR booking included:

1. Early checkin at 12 pm
2. Daily breakfast for 2 people
3. Room upgrade
4. $100 spa credit
5. Late checkout at 4 pm

The room was a massive. one-bedroom suite with 64 sq m (this is what the official website says but felt much large).
